Joe Goodman – President
After an approximate 20 year hiatus from the slopes, and never being all that proficient to begin with, Joe’s children drug him back in (kind of like the mafia, only colder). He has two young children on the team: Hayden (U12) and Brevynn (U8), and hopes to add some new insight to the board, in an ongoing effort to continue to improve the BST experience for everyone: athletes, coaches, and family.
Brian is new to the board for the 2017-2018 season and will be a great addition. He has a U10 athlete on the team.
Darrell Dain – “DFD” – Volunteer Coordinator
DFD has been on the board for the past two years and is an integral part of the team. He was been voted the “Volunteer of the Year” for two years in a row — which means he HAS to join the BOD! We are blessed to have his energy and enthusiasm on our team. He has two racers, Gus (U10) and Axl (Fast 5). DFD will get your number, and convince you to volunteer in the BEST positions. He is the reason the Brighton Ski Team won the Intermountain Division Volunteer of the Year award in 2015!
Zack is also new to the board for the 2017-2018 season and will be a great addition. Zack started skiing in Northern California in the 80’s; fell in love with Brighton and the Utah mountains in in the early 90’s and has been skiing here each season since. He is passionate about our canyons, snow and program. A business executive and consultant during the day, he brings our team rigor and focus to provide great programs and execute on our mission. Zack has two kids on the team this year. Ashton is a U10 who started skiing at 2; Sloan is a U8 who started at 3.
Stewart has skied for nearly all of his life, but has never raced. He loves skiing in the backcountry and escaping the lines and crowds. His favorite part of skiing has been teaching his four kids to ski and sharing his love of the sport with them. Stewart has one athlete on the team, Josh (U12). Stewart is an attorney and practices in civil litigation and enjoys serving on the board to help the team grow and continue being successful.
